Got the lunch special. Meatloaf was like cement. Mashed potatoes were alright. Who could mess that up. Garlic bread was a piece of toast. Really?

Typical diner food. The garden omelette wasn't too filling but the prices for everything were really fair. The pancakes and waffles looked large. Overall I'd definitely recommend it over any chain restaurant.

The food was very good! Stopped here for lunch with my son and my mom. We enjoyed the retro diner decor, the street view of St. Clairsville's old buildings (the top of The Gazzette is really neat!) and the friendly service! Great place!

Chanced upon this classic diner with a little help from our Google Maps App! Great food, friendly staff and classic Coke branding decor, complete with a vintage Coke machine! We hope we have opportunity to return for another meal someday!

I has the best omelet here and price was just as good. This is one of those "happy accidents " that you just stumble upon.

Traveling thru St.Clairsville ,Ohio today.Saw great reviews and dined here for lunch.The waitress was friendly but the food was disappointing. Soup of the day was served cold not hot..The patty melt was a burned dried out hamburger including black charred pieces on rye bread.The other lunch was 3 pieces of dried out fish with shredded cheese on stale white bread.For a $17.00 lunch you should receive a better quality meal.

We have been waiting 45 minutes for two Rubens. You can at least tell guest there is a problem. Food was good but service could be better .

We were looking for some quaint local fare on trip through the area and Newtown Diner did not disappoint. Homemade chips were great, sandwiches were fresh, and the service was kind and helpful. Our five year old had some fun and we had a nice break as he played at the provided small table in the corner for kids his size that had a box of age appropriate toys. We are a family of five and we fit but a party any larger might challenge the size of this cozy storefront. Ok, and I just now bit into the apple dumpling which just exploded into happiness in my mouth like a cinnamon sugar Death Star. The force is with this plac

I wish I could leave an actual review of this place, but I can’t. I went in on my lunch break and seated myself at a table in the middle of the diner. 2 waitresses were at the counter. After sitting there for sometime without a menu or even being acknowledged, I realized that two men had came in and sat at the table directly behind me and the waitress immediately came over and took their drink orders. I began to think that maybe I should have grabbed my own menu on the way in, but no, this is a normal restaurant where they give you your menu. I waited 15 mins with both waitresses walking past me to serve and take orders from others who had came in after me without so much as even being acknowledged, so I left.

Hometown vibe and my favorite breakfast shop. Some of the locals can be annoying and loud at times.

The food was great, prices are wonderful, waitress was very good, and mostly it was clean.

I had the Ruben and fries, and my boyfriend had the A1 burger and fries. We enjoyed them and we were glad we stopped in for lunch. The young woman running the front was friendly and helpful.

I stopped here on my way back to Philadelphia. I had the Newellstown special. Two pancakes two eggs bacon coffee and milk all for cheap. Nice cozy place in a quiet little town. Would come here again. It seemed my Dad and I were in Steelers territory. We were welcomed anyway.

Fast and friendly service even at 6am. A classic look and feel and a pretty good omlet, too.

Passing through and stopped by on a whim. Turns out it was the BEST decision ever. It's right off the main street of this quiet West Virginia town. The coffee was superb and they kept it coming. Absolutely amazing breakfast and the service was phenomenal. Reminded me of a 1950's diner and I felt as if, at any moment, the tables could be pushed aside and a flash mob would start up a sock hop. Starred it on my maps and WILL return. Thanks so much to the staff for the excellent service you gave to this weary traveler.
